Anna 16th December 2020

I used to love going to stay with Pauline and Les for the weekend when I was little. They always entertained me in the garden, there was always plenty of cake, and I especially remember a little purple clothes brush shaped like a lady, which I always used to hide for them to find. Looking back, I'm not sure how much they enjoyed the 'game', as it left them unable to find it, sometimes for days, but they were always very forbearing, kind and so generous with their time. Les never forgot a birthday, and when I got too old for birthday presents, he transferred his loyalty onto my children, right into their adulthood. Thank you Les, for all your faithful, gentle kindness. With love from Anna
